Who is Jennifer Linn Anastassakis ?

Who is Jennifer Linn Anastassakis ? The world knows her as Jennifer Aniston, she is an American film and television actress. She became famous from the mid 1990s to the early 2000s for playing the role of Rachel Green in the popular US sitcom Friends, a role for which she won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
She has starred in several Hollywood films. While most of her film roles have been in comedies such as Bruce Almighty, Office Space, Rumor Has It, and the romantic comedies Along Came Polly and The Break-Up, she has also appeared in films from other genres, such as the seminal comedy-horror Leprechaun and the crime thriller Derailed.

Jennifer Aniston was born February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, and grew up in New York City.[3]

She is the daughter of the actor John Aniston and actress Nancy Dow.[4] Aniston's father is a Greek American, born Yannis Anastassakis, on the island of Crete, Greece, while her mother is of Italian-Scottish descent and was born in New York City.[5] Aniston has two half-brothers, John Melick (older) and Alex Aniston (younger).[4][3] Aniston's godfather was the actor Telly Savalas, her father's best friend.[4][3] She lived in Greece for one year as a child with her family, and they later relocated to New York City.[4] Her father has appeared in the soap operas Days of our Lives, Love of Life and Search for Tomorrow.[4] Aniston attended the New York Rudolf Steiner School[6] and graduated from Manhattan's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.[3] She worked in Off Broadway productions such as For Dear Life and Dancing on Checker's Grave.[4] She supported herself with several part-time jobs, including working as a telemarketer and bike messenger.[4] In 1989, she moved to Los Angeles, California.[7]

Aniston moved to Hollywood and was cast in her first television role in 1990, starring as a regular on the short-lived series Molloy and in the TV movie Camp Cucamonga.[8] She also co-starred in Ferris Bueller, a television adaptation of the 1986 hit movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off.[8] The series, however, was quickly canceled.[4] Aniston then appeared in two more failed television comedy shows, The Edge and Muddling Through, and guest-starred on Quantum Leap, Herman's Head, and Burke's Law.[8] After the string of canceled shows, along with her appearance in the critically derided 1992 horror film, Leprechaun,[9] Aniston considered giving up acting.[4] Aniston's plans changed, however, after auditioning for Friends, a sitcom that was set to debut on NBC's 1994–1995 fall line-up.[3][10] The producers of the show originally wanted Aniston to audition for the role of Monica Geller,[10] but Courtney Cox was discovered to be best suited for the part of Monica. Thus, Aniston was casted as Rachel Green. She played the character of Rachel from 1994 until the show ended in 2004.[11][12]
The program was successful and Aniston, along with her co-stars, gained wide renown among television viewers.[3] Her hairstyle at the time, which became known as the "Rachel", was widely copied.[3][4] Aniston received a salary of one million dollars per episode for the last two seasons of Friends, as well as five Emmy nominations (two for Supporting Actress, three for Lead Actress),[13][14][15][16] including a win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.[17] According to the Guinness World Book of Records (2005), Aniston (along with her female costars) became the highest paid TV actress of all time with her $1 million-per-episode paycheck for the tenth season of Friends.[18]

Jennifer Aniston was cast in a Heineken commercial which was later banned due to branding issues. Later, in 1994, Microsoft invited Aniston, along with Friends co-star Matthew Perry, to shoot a 30-minute promotional advertisement for their new operating system, Windows 95.[19]

She gained critical acclaim for her performances in The Object of My Affection (1998), a comedy drama about a girl who falls for a gay man,[20] and in the low-budget 2002 film, The Good Girl, directed by Miguel Arteta, playing an unglamorous cashier in a small town.

The latter film opened in relatively few theaters—under 700 in total—taking $14M in the U.S. box office.[21] In late 2005, Aniston appeared in two major studio films, Derailed and Rumor Has It.[22][23]
In addition to her career as a TV actress, Aniston has enjoyed a successful film career.

Her biggest box office success to date was her appearance in 2003's Bruce Almighty, in which she played the girlfriend of title character Jim Carrey.[24] Aniston then starred in the 2004 film, Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller.[25] In 2006, Aniston appeared in the low-budget drama, Friends with Money, which was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival, received a limited release.[26]

Aniston's next film, The Break-Up, which was released on June 2, grossed approximately $39.17 million during its opening weekend, despite lukewarm reviews.[27]
In 2007, Aniston guest starred in an episode of Courteney Cox Arquette's series Dirt. Aniston played Arquette's snobby rival Tina Harrod.[28] In addition to acting, Aniston has also directed a hospital emergency room-set short film named Room 10, starring Robin Wright Penn and Kris Kristofferson;[29] Aniston has noted that she was inspired to direct by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who directed a short film in 2006.[30]

Forbes listed Aniston as the 10th richest woman in the entertainment industry for the year 2007. She is behind such powerhouses as Oprah Winfrey, J. K. Rowling, Madonna, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez and is ahead of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and the Olsen twins. Aniston's net worth is approximately $110 million.[31] Aniston was also included in the annual Star Salary Top 10 of trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter for 2006.[32] According to Forbes in October 2007, Aniston was the top-selling celebrity face of the entertainment industry.[33] In 2008, Aniston landed the seventeenth spot on Forbes Celebrity 100 list based on "earnings and fame."[34] Forbes listed Aniston's earnings as $27 million.[35]
Jennifer Aniston appeared in the third episode of Season 3 of NBC's 30 Rock playing Liz Lemon's old college roommate who stalks Jack Donaghy.[36]
Aniston appears naked in a series of photographs that are published on the cover and inside pages of the January 2009 issue of GQ. She tells the magazine that she feels more comfortable today than she did in her twenties or early thirties. "I'm healthier. I'm more at peace in my mind and with my body," Aniston says. [37]

Aniston has previously dated musician Adam Duritz,[4] and was engaged to actor Tate Donovan.[38] Her high-profile relationship with actor Brad Pitt was frequently publicized in the press.[4][39]

She married Pitt on July 29, 2000, in a lavish Malibu wedding.[40] For years their marriage was considered the rare Hollywood success.[4] However, when Pitt showed up to the Ocean's Twelve premiere without Aniston, rumors that their relationship was on the rocks began.[41] In early January 2005, the couple was seen vacationing in the Caribbean with her Friends co-star Courteney Cox and her husband, actor David Arquette,[42] and photos on the beach showed them kissing and being affectionate. On January 7, 2005 they announced their separation.[43]

Rumors that Pitt had fallen for actress Angelina Jolie began when they were shooting the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Jolie and Pitt both denied any claims of adultery, with Jolie declaring in an interview in 2005, "To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn't be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife."[44] Pitt and Aniston were seen together publicly after announcing their separation, even at a dinner party for Aniston's thirty-sixth birthday in February, and friends of the couple had declared they were reconciling.[45] Aniston, however, filed for divorce on March 25, 2005.[2] A divorce was finalized on October 2, 2005.[46]

Media reports speculated that the split was due to Aniston's refusal to have children with him. Aniston denied that this was the cause of their split in an August, 2005 Vanity Fair interview, stating, "...I've always wanted to have children, and I would never again give up that experience for a career." Aniston also revealed that her divorce prompted her to reach out to her mother, Nancy, from whom she was estranged for nearly a decade. They initially became estranged when Nancy talked about her daughter on a television show and later wrote a book entitled, From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir (1999).[47][48]

Aniston has also stated she was devastated by the death of her longtime therapist, whose work helped make her separation from Pitt easier.[49] Aniston said her relationship with Pitt, which she does not regret, was "seven very intense years together" and that "it was a beautiful, complicated relationship."[50] Since the couple's divorce, Aniston has been romantically linked to actor Vince Vaughn,[51] British model Paul Sculfor and musician John Mayer.[52][53]
In August 2006, Aniston denied rumors she was engaged to Vaughn or that the actor had proposed.[54] In October 2006, gossip magazine Us Weekly quoted sources from Vaughn that the couple had broken up.[55] In December 2006, representatives for both Aniston and Vaughn confirmed that they had indeed split up a few weeks before when Aniston visited Vaughn in London.[56]

The intense media scrutiny of Aniston's private life continued after her break up with Vaughn. It was reported in April 2008 that singer John Mayer and Aniston were an item. A few weeks later, Mayer hinted the rumours were true when he told reporters "Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control."
On August 13, 2008, the UK's Daily Mirror reported Aniston was "dumped" by Mayer after the pair initially decided to spend some time apart before making the break official earlier in the week. However, according to USmagazine.com, reports that Mayer had dumped Aniston were untrue, and that it was she who dumped him. A relationship expert tells USmagazine.com that Mayer's pride and ego was the reason he has been telling people he dumped Aniston. [57] Rumors were put to rest when Mayer explained on his Myspace that he had ended the relationship because "[he doesn't] want to waste somebody's time if something's not right". [58]On October 11, 2008, Mayer and Aniston reunited for a dinner at romantic restaurant, Il Mulino. Since then, Aniston and Mayer have been reported to reunite quite a few times, once to celebrate Mayer's 31st birthday. She has since confirmed on Oprah, she is again dating John Mayer. [59]
Tabloids have also fabricated rumors about Aniston being pregnant with twins, which Aniston has denied.[60]
Aniston has had two septoplasties to correct her deviated septum—one which was incorrectly done in 1994 and the second in January 2007. Septoplasty is a surgical operation that helps alleviate a common condition that can lead to breathing difficulty and trouble sleeping.[61]

She is the godmother of good friends and actors Courteney Cox Arquette's and David Arquette's daughter Coco Riley Arquette.

Aniston is a supporter of many charity foundations. She is a supporter of Friends of El Faro, a grassroots non-profit organization that helps raise money for Casa Hogar Sion—an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico and has appeared in a few advertisements on TV for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. She made a guest appearance on Oprah's Big Give show to support the cause and donated money to help. Aniston hosted September 2008's Stand Up to Cancer show. In the "It Can't Wait" campaign to free Burma, Aniston directed and starred in a video. On April 14, 2007, Aniston received GLAAD's Vanguard Award for her contributions to increased visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. more

Who is Jessica Ann Simpson

Who is Jessica Ann Simpson? Simpson is an American singer and actress who rose to fame in the late 1990s. She has achieved seven Billboard Top 40 hits, and has three gold and two multi-platinum RIAA-certified albums. Simpson starred with her then-husband Nick Lachey in the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. She has also begun working as an actress, and is the older sister of Ashlee Simpson, an internationally successful pop rock singer and actress. She ventured into the country music market in 2008 and released Do You Know.

She was born July 10, 1980 Jessica Ann Simpson in Abilene, Texas, the daughter of Tina and Joe Truett Simpson, who was a minister and psychologist.[1] As a child, she began singing at her local Baptist church. At age twelve, Simpson unsuccessfully auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club.[2] While attending J.J. Pearce High School, she recorded a gospel music album with Proclaim Records. The record company went bankrupt and the album was never released. Simpson left high school at age sixteen (she later earned her GED), and toured the Christian music circuit. After Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola heard one of Simpsons' independent releases, she was signed to the label.[3]

Simpson released her first single, "I Wanna Love You Forever", which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000.[4] Soon afterward her major label debut album Sweet Kisses was released. To support the album, Simpson toured with Ricky Martin and with boy band 98 Degrees, and she and 98 Degrees group member Nick Lachey began dating shortly afterwards.[5] After dating for two years, the couple cooled their relationship. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, the couple reconciled. Simpson stated, "After 9/11, I knew that I never ever wanted to be away from Nick ever for the rest of my life."[3]
Meanwhile, Simpson's album Sweet Kisses had gone double platinum, helped by follow-up singles "Where You Are" and "I Think I'm In Love With You", which were both released in 2000. The latter became Simpson's biggest radio hit at that point, and was her first release of an uptempo single. Although her debut album sold 2 million copies, sales fell far short of those achieved by Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and unlike the two pop princesses, Simpson was not a worldwide household name. Columbia Records officials reportedly decided Simpson needed a change for her second album.
In 2001, Simpson recorded a follow-up album with what Columbia considered more radio-friendly, up-tempo tracks. The result in that was Irresistible, released in mid-2001 on the heels of the title-track first single. "Irresistible" became one of the biggest hits of her career; it peaked at # 15 on the Hot 100. Irresistible debuted at #6 in June 2001 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart,[6] and has sold 825,000 copies to date.

During the summer of 2003, the reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, starring Simpson and her then-new husband Nick Lachey began airing on MTV. Simpson's third album, In This Skin, was released in August 2003 to coincide with the series premiere of Newlyweds.
The show quickly became a pop culture phenomenon and is credited with making her a household name, even among those who did not follow pop music or MTV. “I never knew that just doing the show would give me that pedestal to step on,” Simpson told Blender magazine in a March 2004 feature.[7]
The associated album, In This Skin, debuted at #10 on The Billboard 200 album chart, with sales of 64,000 in its first week. It rebounded after a special collectors' edition was released in April 2004 and subsequently reached a peak at #2.[6] It was eventually certified triple platinum. It contained the song "Sweetest Sin", which barely even made an impact on the Bubbling Under Hot 100. However, the album did contain the hit singles "With You" (#14, 2004) and a cover of the Berlin song "Take My Breath Away" (#20, 2004), and a lesser hit, a cover of the Robbie Williams song "Angels", which charted just outside the Billboard Hot 100.[4]
The couple starred in the television special The Nick and Jessica Variety Hour, which aired in 2004 and was compared to The Sonny & Cher Show.[8] Simpson released Rejoyce: The Christmas Album in late 2004, which peaked at #14 on the album chart and was later certified gold.[9]
In 2005, Newlyweds won a People's Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show before wrapping shortly after.[10]

In the summer of 2005, Simpson made her first appearance in a motion picture as Daisy Duke in the movie version of the television series The Dukes of Hazzard.[11] The film was #1 at the box office its opening weekend, although it had little or no competition (the only other new film opening that weekend was a low-budget independent film), and grossed $30.7 million on 3,785 screens. It also had an adjusted-dollar rank of #14 all-time for August releases. The film eventually collected $110.5 million worldwide, although it was much less financially successful outside the U.S.[12]
Simpson also appeared on the film's soundtrack, releasing "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'", a cover of the 1966 Nancy Sinatra hit. The song peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a People's Choice Award for Favorite Song from a Movie in 2006.[4][13] The song's video featured Simpson as Daisy Duke. It contains scenes of her flirting and singing in a bar and then later washing the General Lee car, while wearing a skin-tight, revealing pink bikini. In some countries the video was banned for its overtly sexual content.[14]

Simpson's second film, Employee of the Month, was released October 6, 2006. With poor reviews, the film took in $11.8 million in its opening weekend, debuting at #4 just behind Open Season.[15]
In December 2007, Luke Wilson co-starred with Simpson in her third film, Blonde Ambition. The film opened in eight Texas (the home state of both Simpson and Wilson) theaters and earned US$6,422. It was released on DVD in January 2008.'[16]Blonde Ambition' fared better overseas where it grossed $253,008 in the Ukraine its opening weekend.[17] Simpson's next movie, Major Movie Star, failed to be released in U.S. theaters.
In 2006, Simpson then returned to the recording studio, switching labels from Columbia to Epic Records. Her fourth album, A Public Affair, was released on August 29, 2006 via Epic Records. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 with 101,000 copies sold in its first week. The first single, "A Public Affair" (#14, 2006), reached the Top 20 of the Hot 100 but quickly fell off the charts. The music video for "A Public Affair" featured Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Christina Milian, Maria Menounos, Andy Dick and Ryan Seacrest. A second single, "I Belong To Me," was also released through her website and is now included on the CD itself. The single's video appeared on TRL countdowns, but quickly fell off.
In December 2006, while performing a tribute to Dolly Parton at the Kennedy Center Awards, she botched the lyrics, getting flustered in front of a crowd that included prominent persons such as Steven Spielberg, Shania Twain, and President George W. Bush. Though Simpson was given the chance to redo the song for cameras, her portion was edited out of the CBS broadcast.[18][19]

In September 2007, Simpson's father Joe Simpson stated to People magazine on September 11, 2007, that Simpson was considering doing a country album. Joe Simpson told People that she is "talking about doing a country record and going back to her roots, being from Texas."[20]
"Come On Over", first leaked onto the internet on May 27, 2008. Shortly after country radio stations around the country began giving the single radio play. In the United States, "Come on Over" became the most-added song to country radio for the week of June 6, 2008, debuting at number 41 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It broke a record held by Miranda Lambert ("Me and Charlie Talking") and Brad Cotter ("I Meant To") for highest-debuting first chart entry by a solo artist; both artists debuted at number 42 on that same chart.[21]The video for the first single, "Come On Over", premiered on Simpson's official website in July 2008.[22] The single peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Prior to the albums release Simpson performed at select state fairs and visited various country music radio stations in order to promote the album. The country album, entitled Do You Know, was released on September 9, 2008,[23] The album fully leaked onto the internet on August 28, 2008. The album debuted #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in both the US and Canada. Giving Simpson her first #1 album of her career. She is due to open up for the Rascal Flatts on their "Bob That Head Tour" in the beginning of 2009. The tour kicks off on January 17, 2009 in Kansas City running over 20 shows ending on March 14, 2009 in Irvine, California. The albums second single "Remember That" was released to country radio on September 29, 2008. The single has thus far peaked at #42 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart during the end of December 2008. The albums third single was choosen to be "Pray Out Loud", a video was shot in LA, California in early January.[24]

Following in the footsteps of other female musicians, such as Cher and Patti LaBelle, Simpson and stylist Ken Pavés launched a line of hair and beauty products on the Home Shopping Network.[25] Simpson also designs and markets a line of handbags and (primarily high-heeled) shoes and boots.[26] She also plans to design lingerie including bras, panties, sleepwear and daywear. Jessica Simpson's Intimates is set to be available in major department stores and online shopping sites for spring 2009.[27]
Simpson has had many commercials, mainly with Pizza Hut and Proactiv Solution. She also has a commercial with Ice Breakers, along with her sister Ashlee. She has had up to three Pizza Hut commercials, the first in 2004, advertising the new Buffalo Wing Pizza (costarring The Muppets). In 2005, she started advertising Proactiv Solution, an over-the-counter acne medicine. In 2006, she premiered in another Pizza Hut commercial for the Super Bowl XL broadcast. She sang "These Bites Are Made For Poppin'," in reference to the song "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," to advertise the new Cheesy Bites Pizza.[28] In 2007, the Super Bowl featured her third Pizza Hut commercial, which again promoted the Cheesy Bites Pizza.[29] She has also advertised DirecTV in character as Daisy Duke.[30]

Jessica is managed by her father, Joe Truett Simpson, whose fee is reported to be between 10 percent and 20 percent of her income. He has distanced himself from his daughters' finances, however, and has no access to their bank accounts, which are under the supervision of their shared and longtime business manager, David Levin. Mr. Simpson said he wanted his children to see that "Daddy never touched their stuff. I wanted them to always look at me with respect."[31]

Simpson received criticism from a Christian group calling itself "The Resistance", for the sexualized image she used in the music video for "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'".[32] In response, Simpson stated, "It didn't really surprise me because I grew up with a lot of that backlash. That's why I didn't end up going into the Christian music industry. I think that if they're really good Christians the judgment wouldn't be there."[33]
Simpson, who endorsed George W. Bush for president in 2004,[34] later opted out of a 2006 Republican fundraiser in Washington, D.C. Manager Joe Simpson said that even though he and Jessica are "big supporters" of the president, who had invited them, they felt it was inappropriate to attend a political fundraiser.[35]

In June 2008 Simpson was seen with boyfriend Tony Romo wearing a shirt that said "Real Girls Eat Meat". It was seen as a slam at Romo's ex girlfriend Carrie Underwood who is a vegeterian. Simpson received heated criticism from PETA. PETA issued a statement regarding the incident stating that, "Jessica Simpson's meaty wardrobe malfunction makes us thankful that no one is looking to her for food advice. Chicken-of-the-Sea, anyone? The woman who thought that Buffalo 'wings' came from buffaloes would benefit from some good veggie brain food."[36]
PETA spokeswoman Pamela Anderson also commented by making a vulgar comment regarding Simpson.[37]
On July 19, 2008, Simpson performed at the Country Thunder Festival in Wisconsin. She was booed by the crowd and received a poor reception from country music critics.[38] She responded by saying “I don’t know what your perception is of Jessica Simpson or what tabloid you buy, but I just want you to know that I’m just a girl from Texas; I’m just like you. I’m doing what I love and dating a boy.”[39]
Singer/songwriter Adam Green wrote a song about Jessica Simpson called "Jessica" for his 2003 album Friends of Mine. The song criticises her music and her celebrity life.

On October 26, 2002, at age 22, Simpson married Nick Lachey.[40] She famously announced she had remained a virgin until her marriage.[41] In November 2005, after months of tabloid speculation, Simpson and Lachey announced they were separating. Simpson filed for divorce on December 16, 2005, citing "irreconcilable differences."[42][43] The couple's divorce was publicized worldwide and was reportedly finalized on June 30, 2006.[44]
Simpson told Jane magazine in October 2006 that she knew her marriage to Lachey was over when he refused to join her on a charity trip to Africa, even though it was on their third wedding anniversary.[45]

The couple sold their Calabasas mansion, in which Newlyweds was filmed, to Malcolm in the Middle star

Justin Berfield for an undisclosed amount.[46]Simpson received increased publicity following her divorce, reportedly having romances with her Employee of the Month co-star Dane Cook and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. On February 6, 2007, the Associated Press reported that Simpson said she was stung when her ex-husband jumped back into dating after their high-profile breakup. "Oh, it hurt me," the 26-year-old singer-actress says in an interview in the March issue of Elle. "Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me."[47]

Following her divorce, Simpson had an off-and-on relationship with musician John Mayer. Dating rumors started in August 2006 with a People magazine article, but kicked into high gear when Simpson and Mayer spent New Year's holiday together in New York City, both attending Christina Aguilera's New Years Eve 2006 party.[48] The couple eventually parted ways for good in May 2007.[49]

In November 2007, Simpson began dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. The relationship is controversial among many Dallas Cowboys fans, as she is blamed when Romo has poor football performances as exemplified by a December game in which the Cowboys lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.[50] Some of the Cowboy's fans have given her the nickname Yoko Romo in comparison to Yoko Ono who many Beatles fans blame for "ruining" John Lennon.[51] This was further fueled when the Cowboys lost to the Giants in the divisional playoffs, when Romo & Simpson went on a trip during the Cowboy's bye week. FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw called into question Simpson and Romo vacationing in Mexico.

Who is Hayden Leslie Panettiere?

Who is Hayden Leslie Panettiere? [1] She is an American actress and singer. Hayden was first known for her character of Sheryl Yoast in Disney's Remember the Titans during the early part of her career. As a child actress she also was in two soap operas, portraying Sarah Roberts on One Life to Live from 1994-1997, and Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light from 1996-2000. She has reached a wider audience with her current starring role as Claire Bennet on the NBC television program Heroes.

Panettiere was born August 21, 1989 and raised in Palisades, Rockland County, New York, the daughter of Lesley R. Vogel, a former soap opera actress, and Alan L. "Skip" Panettiere, a fire department lieutenant.[2][3] She has one younger brother, fellow actor Jansen Panettiere.[4]
Panettiere attended South Orangetown Middle School in New York but, following seventh grade, finished her high school education via homeschooling[5] and has postponed higher education in favor of an acting career, although she has expressed an interest in "continuing to learn."[6]

In late 2006, Neutrogena made Panettiere the cover girl for their new worldwide ad campaign;[18] following in the footsteps of actresses Kristin Kreuk, Josie Bissett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mandy Moore, Mischa Barton, Gabrielle Union and Jennifer Freeman.
In September 2007, Panettiere appeared in a Heroes-themed Got Milk? ad photographed by Annie Leibovitz.[19]
In February 2008, Kohl's announced that Panettiere would be their next Candie's spokesperson. She will be following the likes of Fergie, Hilary Duff, and Kelly Clarkson.[20]

In 2006, Panettiere began dating Stephen Colletti, the former Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, star.[21] The couple broke up in September 2007.[22] In December 2007, it was widely

reported that she was dating her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia,[23][24] though Panettiere denied these reports in an interview with GQ.[25] These reports continued through the early part of 2008,[26][27] and several sources had reported that she asked Ventimiglia to move in with her.[28][29][30] In April 2008, during an interview on the BBC's The Chris Moyles Show to promote the second season of Heroes, Ventimiglia confirmed that he is dating Panettiere.[31]

On October 31, 2007, Panettiere joined with Sea Shepherd to try to disrupt the annual dolphin hunt in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. She was involved in a confrontation between Japanese fishermen and five other surfers from Australia and the United States (including former Home and Away star Isabel Lucas) of the group. The confrontation lasted more than ten minutes before the surfers were forced to return to the beach, after which they left the country.[32] The fishermen consider the condemnation as an attack on their culture.[33]
Panettiere told E! News that an arrest warrant has been issued in Japan for her interference in the dolphin hunt but her claim was later dismissed as not true by the Japanese Fisheries Agency.[34][35] In November 2007, she was awarded the "Compassion in Action Award" from the animal rights group PETA for her efforts to stop the dolphin hunt in Japan.[36] She is also a vegetarian.[37][38] Her activism was, however, criticized by most of the Japanese media since the public regarded this as an offense to their culture (see Taiji, Wakayama for details).
On January 28, 2008, Panettiere handed a letter of protest to the Norwegian ambassador in the United States arguing that Norway should stop its hunt for whales. She also delivered a letter to the Japanese ambassador calling for the end of Japan's hunting of whales.
In 2007, Panettiere became an official supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities and is a member of their celebrity board, called the Friends of RMHC.[39]

Who is Joanna Pacitti?

Who is Joanna Pacitti? Pacitti is currently a contestant on American Idol.

Pacitti was born October 6, 1984, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, North America to Stella and Joseph Pacitti. She is of Italian and Irish descent.[1]

In 1989, at the age of 5, Pacitti began singing to the customers in her father's barber shop. Her mother enrolled her in dance classes, and she began competing in local talent and dance competitions. In 1996, when she was 12 years old, she was chosen to star in the 20th Anniversary revival of the musical Annie after entering a contest sponsored by the department store Macy's.[2]

Pacitti starred in 106 performances with the National Tour, obtaining mixed reviews. Two weeks before the show was to land on Broadway, she became ill with bronchitis. She returned to find she had not been replaced by her understudy, but with one of the orphans instead. The firing became national news and generated a great deal of publicity. Some believe this was the intention of the producers in order to further promote the Broadway and her representatives also facilitated media coverage as the performer willingly appeared for interviews on ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, American Journal and Turning Point, an in-depth report with Barbara Walters, and employed a public relations strategist to book publicity opportunities with publications and television shows.

Pacitti was also one of three to appear on MTV's First Year, which detailed the process of obtaining various professions over the course of a year. Pacitti is seen attempting to launch a music career in the show. She loves to eat shrimp tacos on sunday afternoons.

[
In 2000, at the age of 16, Pacitti was signed to a contract by A&M Records president Ron Fair,

the man who discovered household names such as

She has appeared on some soundtracks, including Legally Blonde (2001), Bratz: Motion Picture Soundtrack (2007), and a five track promotional CD released with Mattel's My Scene - Chelsea Spring Break (Series 2), called "My Scene - Chelsea Mix".

In May 2006, Pacitti's first single, "Let It Slide", was released under Geffen Records and went to radio at the end of June. Her debut album, This Crazy Life, was released on 15 August 2006.[citation needed]
As of September 2007, Pacitti is no longer signed with Geffen Records.

Asked whether she resents that TV turns wannabes into stars in five months time, Pacitti opined: "It's handed to people way too easily. I'd rather have my experience than overnight success." Despite her major-label record and high-profile pals such as Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, not everyone understands that in her mind, she has arrived: "My family said: 'You should go on American Idol!'"[3]
Pacitti sang the song "Out From Under" on the Bratz: Motion Picture Soundtrack, which Britney Spears covered on her 2008 album Circus.[4]
Pacitti auditioned for season 8 of American Idol in Louisville, Kentucky, in an episode which aired on 21 January 2009. She passed the audition into the Hollywood round.
