Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York City, is He is known for his controversial persona, his entrepreneurial ventures, and his entry into politics.

Trump was born to real estate developer Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. He attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics in 1968. Afterward, he joined his father's real estate business, taking the helm in 1971 and renaming it the Trump Organization.


In the 1980s, Trump rose to prominence as a real estate developer, taking on large-scale projects such as the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower in Manhattan. He also made his mark on the casino industry in Atlantic City, owning three casinos. In 1990, however, financial troubles forced his businesses into bankruptcy. He recovered in the following years by diversifying his brand, creating Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts.
Beyond his career in real estate, Trump has hosted numerous beauty pageants, including Miss USA and Miss Universe. From 2004 to 2015, he starred in the NBC reality television show "The Apprentice," which helped build his image as a savvy, outspoken businessman.
Trump has been married three times. His first marriage to Ivana Trump produced three children: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. His second marriage to Marla Maples resulted in a daughter, Tiffany. Trump's current wife is former model Melania Trump, with whom he has a son, Barron.
In 2015, Trump announced his candidacy for President of the United States as a Republican, running on a platform focused on immigration control, trade deals, and infrastructure development. He defeated 16 other candidates in the Republican primary and faced off against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the general election. Despite losing the popular vote, Trump won the Electoral College vote, securing his position as the 45th President of the United States.
Trump's presidency was marked by controversial policies, including the implementation of a travel ban on citizens from several predominantly Muslim countries, the initiation of a trade war with China, and the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Trump also oversaw the appointment of three conservative justices to the Supreme Court.

In 2019, Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, stemming from allegations that he had pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The Senate acquitted Trump in early 2020.
In 2020, Trump faced Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the presidential election. Biden was declared the winner, but Trump disputed the results, claiming widespread voter fraud. Despite multiple legal challenges, no significant evidence of fraud was found, and Biden's victory was certified. Trump left office on January 20, 2021.
Throughout his career, Trump has been known for his brash and outspoken demeanor, often garnering both criticism and praise for his actions. As a prominent figure in American politics and culture, he has left an indelible mark on the United States and the world.
