Biography
Chelsy Davy was born 13 October 1985 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to Charles and Beverley "Bev" Davy. She has an older brother Shaun Davy. Her father, a millionaire safari operator (no longer associated with HHK Safari) in Zimbabwe, has reportedly had close ties to the regime of Robert Mugabe.[1] Davy grew up at her family's homestead in the Lemco Safari Area, a stretch of land covering 1,300 square miles (3,400 km2), from where Davy's father runs his safari companies. While growing up, Davy wanted to be a model.[2]Davy received early education at Girls' College (in Bulawayo), Stowe School and Cheltenham Ladies College. She graduated from the University of Cape Town in November 2006 with a degree in Economics after which she took a gap year to travel the world with her friends and her brother Shaun. She spent much of February 2007 traveling around the U.S. but by September 2007, Davy had moved to England to take up an accelerated LLB law course at the University of Leeds.[3] In December 2008, she worked as an intern for Farrer & Company, a London law firm. As of July 2009, Davy has completed her accelerated LLB course at Leeds University. In November 2010, Davy left London to practice law in South Africa and travel. But in early 2011, she returned to England to reportedly begin her training at London law firm, Allen & Overy.
Relationship with Prince Harry
Chelsy Davy had a relationship with Prince Harry, the younger son of the Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales, from late 2004 to January 2009, when the pair mutually agreed to end their relationship.[4]During that time, as the girlfriend of a member of the British Royal Family, Davy was the subject of worldwide tabloid speculation. A royal source told People magazine the pair felt their relationship "had run its course".[5]
In September 2009 it was reported that the couple were back together,[6] and the pair have been photographed.[7]
