Who is Lloyd Polite, Jr?

Who is Lloyd Polite, Jr.? ,[1]The rap and hip hop world knows him by his stage name Lloyd. Lloyd is anAmerican contemporary R&B singer, who experienced as a member of the group N-Toon before embarking on a solo career in 2004.
In 2004, he released his solo debut single/album, "Southside" which featured Ashanti, which quickly charted on the Billboard Hot 100, and became a top thirty hit. His second album, Street Love, was released on March 13, 2007. It featured top-ten and twenty hit "You" and "Get It Shawty". His third album, "Lessons in Love", give the singer his second top ten Billboard 200 album. Lloyd's career received a boost by being featured in the second single of Young Money's top-ten U.S. hit BedRock, gaining publicity from his presence on its guest list. Lloyd also released a 2009 EP entitled "Like Me: The Young Goldie EP", including a promo single "Pusha". On March 13, Lloyd signed to Interscope/Zone 4. His next album King of Hearts will be released later this year. The first single, "Lay It Down" is already a top-ten hit on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs

Early life

Lloyd Polite Jr. was born January 3, 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 3, 1986. He has been a resident of Atlanta, GA since the age of 2. He attended Stephenson High School. At the age of eight, Polite began doing musical theatre at Avondale Elementary, a Performing Arts school. He was discovered at the age of 10, while rehearsing for a show at school, by singer Joyce Irby. Irby immediately joined Polite to the pre-teen urban pop quartet N-Toon, alongside younger brother "Chuckie." The group won Nickelodeon's cancelled show Double Dare 2000 against No Authority, and the group was signed to DreamWorks Records. Although two singles were released, "Ready" and "Shoulda Been My Girl", their debut album Toon Time proved to be a disappointment. Later that year, MCA Records crossed over into its parent company, Geffen Records. Many of the artists on its roster were let go, including N-Toon. The group disbanded early 2001. The same year, Polite signed his first solo record deal under basketball player Magic Johnson’s MJM label

Musical career

2004–05: Southside





By 2004, Lloyd was re-discovered and signed to Irv Gotti's The Inc. Records as a solo artist and released his debut album, "Southside", on July 20, 2004. It debuted at number 11 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and 3 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" charts, selling over 67,000 copies in its first week. The first single, "Southside", featured label-mate R&B singer Ashanti, managed to peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 13 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song" charts. The second single, "Hey Young Girl" was released in August 2000 and peaked at number 61 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" chart. The third and final single, "Southside Remix" featured Ashanti and rapper Scarface.
Later that year, he was featured on 8Ball & MJG's "Forever" and Tango Redd's "Let's Cheat". In 2005, Lloyd was featured on label-mate Ja Rule's, "Caught Up", the song saw minor success in the United States reaching number 65 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" charts. However, the song peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart.


2006–09: Street Love

The singer re-entered recording studios to start work with producers Bryan-Michael Cox, James Lackey, Jazze Pha, Big Reese and Jasper Cameron and The Inc.'s 7 Aurelius. Released on March 13, 2007, Street Love debuted at number two on Billboard`s 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart, with sales of 145,000 copies emerging as Lloyd's highest debut and biggest first week.[2] It eventually received a goldcertification, and has sold over half-a-million copies domestically.[3] The album's lead single, Jasper Cameron-penned "You", featured rapperLil' Wayne, was a big commercial successes, becoming his first top ten single on Billboard 200. In addition, it reached the top position of theBillboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. The single reached number 45 in the United Kingdom and number 25 in New Zealand. The second single "Get It Shawty" reaching number sixteen on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 4 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song" chart. It also reach number 72 in the United Kingdom. The third and final single, "Player's Prayer" was released and peaked at number 74 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song" charts. The song was not promoted and didn't receive a music video.
Later 2007, He was featured on Huey's "When I Hustle" and Dem Franchize Boyz's "Turn Heads", both songs saw minor success in the United States reaching number 80 and 75 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" charts.

2008–09: Lessons in Love and departure from The Inc.

"Lessons in Love" was released August 4, 2008. "The title concept derives from a schoolboy fantasy of mine. Where I become a professor of a classroom full of gorgeous girls, and I feel the best thing I can give them that's really worth having is lessons in love!", he said about the issues worked into the tracks.[4] The album debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albumscharts, with moderately successful first week sales 51,000— about half as much as his previous effort, number-two album Street Love.[5][6]"How We Do It (Around My Way)", featured rapper Ludacris, was released a first single, peaking at number 77 Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" charts and number 75 on the UK charts. Due to the low success of the song, it only appeared on select versions of the album as a bonus track. The second single, "Girls Around the World" featured Lil' Wayne was a moderate hit. It peaked at number 64 on the BillboardHot 100 and number 13 on the "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song" charts. The third and final single was "Year of the Lover". The single version featured rapper Plies. It only peaked at number one on the Billboard Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles.
In June 2009, it was announced that Lloyd would depart from The Inc. Records. Lloyd stated that he was "focusing on just growing in general".[7][8]
A song titled "Pusha", produced by The Runners written by Lloyd, Raymond "Ray-Ray" Gordon, Sean "Slim" Mcmillion, and The Monarchand featuring Juelz Santana was leaked online.[9] Juelz Santana was later replaced on the song by Lil Wayne but later both verses were put together and was released as the lead single off his EP, Like Me: The Young Goldie EP.[10] Lloyd also collaborated with Lil Wayne on the song "Bedrock" which is the second single off Lil Wayne's record label Young Money compilation album. On March 13 it was confirmed that Lloyd signed to Interscope Records.[11]

2010-Present: King of Hearts

On July 25, 2010, Lloyd announced via Twitter his new album was titled King of Hearts. On August 16, 2010, Lloyd released the first single entitled "Lay It Down". The second single is "Let's Get It In" and it features G-Unit rapper 50 Cent. The Album is set to be released on March 15, 2011.[12]

Who is Brandon Cole Margera?

Who is Brandon Cole Margera? The entertainment world knows him as  part of the Jack Ass crew "Bam" Margera.is an American professional skateboarder, television and radio personality, and daredevil. He released a series of videos under the CKY banner and came to prominence after being drafted into MTV's Jackass crew. He has since appeared in MTV's Viva La Bam and Bam's Unholy Union, both Jackass movies, and Haggard and Minghags, both of which he co-wrote and directed.


 Early life

Margera was born September 28, 1979 in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Phil and April Margera. He is also the younger brother of Jess Margera and nephew of Vincent Margera. His grandfather nicknamed him "Bam" at the age of three after his habit of running into walls. He attended East High School and cites friend Chris Raab as his only reason for attending high school, and dropped out after Raab got expelled for smearing feces on a locker. He later received his GED at the insistence of his parents.

 Television and film


Margera began shooting videos of himself and his friends skateboarding and doing stunts, which eventually turned into the CKY video series. He independently released CKY, CKY2K, CKY3 and CKY4 have also been released. CKY stands for "Camp Kill Yourself", a reference to the film Sleepaway Camp. These early videos feature many of Margera's friends, including Ryan Dunn, Brandon DiCamillo, Rake Yohn, Chris Raab, Brandon Novak and others who form a loose collective known as the CKY Crew. CKY is also the name of a rock band featuring his brother Jess (see CKY (band)), and the history and relationship between the video and band projects is heavily interlinked.
Following the CKY success, former Big Brother editor Jeff Tremaine noticed Margera's videos and drafted him into the team which would eventually become MTV's Jackass. Margera and Ryan Dunn became mainstays of the cast while other CKY crew members played supporting roles to various degrees. Margera went on to appear in both Jackass: The Movie and Jackass Number Two. Several skits in the first Jackass movie were CKY style pieces filmed in and around West Chester, but similar scenes in the second movie were removed after the arrest of Margera's uncle Vincent Margera.

After Jackass, Margera was given his own MTV series entitled Viva La Bam, which ran for five seasons between 2003-2005. The show followed Margera and his crew as they performed various stunts and missions. The show was primarily filmed in West Chester, Pennsylvania but also visited New Orleans, Los Angeles, Brazil, Finland, Mexico, Amsterdam and Transylvania. In addition to the regular series, special episodes have included "Viva La Spring Break" and a "lost"lost episode included on the Viva La Bands CD.
Following the show, in 2008, Margera was engaged and the wedding was filmed for Bam's Unholy Union as a follow up to Viva la Bam. The show follows Margera, his fiancée Melissa Rothstein and their friends in the lead-up to their wedding. Also in 2008, Margera had a "prominent, non-sex role in" a pornographic film by Gina Lynn called The Fantasstic Whores 4 with Brandon Novak.
In 2009, Margera appeared on Nitro Circus. His next show will feature Margera going back to school. Margera will also appear with Dunn in eight episodes of a "Viva la bam-like" show called Bam's World Domination on Spike TV.

 Skateboarding career

Since 2003, Margera has been a member of Team Element, the demonstration team for Element Skateboards. He is also sponsored by Speed Metal Bearings and Fairman's Skateshop. Although Margera does not compete at the higher levels of skateboarding, his large sponsorship packages assure him of "pro" status.

 Independent films

Margera has written, produced and starred in three independent films. Margera co-wrote, directed and starred in Haggard (2003), an independent film based on real events in the life of his friend Ryan Dunn. Dunn played himself as the main character while Margera played "Valo", a character based on himself and elements of HIM singer and friend Ville Valo.
Margera also directed Minghags, formerly titled Kiss a Good Man's Ass. The film is a loose sequel to Haggard and will feature the "garbage juicer" invention from that film. This film was confirmed on Radio Bam and the front page of FilthyNote Records by Tim Glomb. Filming started April 5, 2007. On an episode of Radio Bam, Margera said that they are trying to make the movie PG-13 rated, but with the amount of swearing and a shot of nudity, an 'R' Rating could not be avoided. They had its first viewing of the rough version of the film on August 7, 2007, at Sikes Hall. The movie was released in December 2008. The film was a straight-to-dvd release.
Subsequently, Margera released a Christmas-themed movie entitled Bam Margera Presents: Where the#$& Is Santa? in December 2008. The movie is about Bam and his friends going to the Arctic Circle in Finland on a quest to find Santa Claus. The film features Ville Valo from HIM, The Dudesons, Hanoi Rocks, Mark the Bagger, and more.

 Radio Bam and music

Margera began a weekly Sirius Satellite Radio show on Sirius channel 28 Faction on November 24, 2004 called Radio Bam. The show features Margera along with friends from the CKY and Jackass crews.
In 2005, Margera started a music label, Filthy Note Records, and has directed music videos for Clutch, Turbonegro, Viking Skull, Vains of Jenna and several for CKY. He also directed four music videos, "Buried Alive By Love", "The Sacrament", "And Love Said No", and "Solitary Man", for the Finnish band HIM. He also plays the keyboard in a novelty band called Gnarkill along with Brandon DiCamillo, Jess Margera, Rich Vose and Matt Cole.

 Other projects

Margera has been animated as a character in pro-skateboarder Tony Hawk's video games Pro Skaters 3 and 4, Underground and Underground 2, American Wasteland, Project 8 and Proving Ground. He also voiced a character in Scarface: The World Is Yours. He made cameo appearances in the movies Grind and Destroying America.
In late September 2008, Margera opened a bar/theater called "The Note", in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
In late 2009, Margera released a book containing private writings and pictures titled Serious as Dog Dirt.

 Personal life

Margera was previously engaged to Jenn Rivell, a divorced single mother six years his senior. Rivell played a prominent part in several of his projects and the couple appeared to be co-habiting in various episodes of Viva La Bam. However, the relationship ended in 2005. In November, 2006, Margera filed for "Protection From Abuse" from Rivell after she allegedly broke into his house. He further alleged that Rivell had exhibited irrational and aggressive behavior towards him on several previous occasions including stealing several computers and vandalizing his house immediately after their initial breakup. The judge dismissed the allegations as "speculative" and "hearsay". Their break-up was attributed to rumors Margera had slept with pop star Jessica Simpson, which Margera initially denied before admitting they had been "intimate". Margera reasserted that nothing untoward had happened after he and Simpson met at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2006.
Margera currently resides in "Castle Bam", a large house in Wawaset, Pennsylvania. The house has a gothic theme, a skatepark in the driveway and is situated on 14 acres (57,000 m2) of land. In January 2007, Margera built a ramp in his backyard, near the old casino seen in Viva La Bam. The ramp itself caused trouble with the township. Margera's parents and select members of the CKY Crew lived in the house while shooting Viva La Bam, with Margera's uncle residing in a house on the property.
Margera later became engaged to childhood friend Melissa "Missy" Rothstein. The events leading up to their wedding (with about 350 friends and family in attendance) on February 3, 2007, in downtown Philadelphia was chronicled on the MTV series Bam's Unholy Union. The couple's honeymoon was in Dubai. After the wedding, Margera was forced to pay $13,000 for damage done to the hotel. Bam is quoted as saying "I was kind of ready for it though. I was like: 'I’m inviting the Jackass crew. If something doesn’t get broken then that’s not right'."
In an October 24, 2007 interview with the Cleveland Free Times, Margera stated that although he had completed paperwork that would legally change his first name to Bam, he was "still debating" filing it after a conversation with his father.
In July 2009, Margera was taken to the hospital by paramedics and state troopers from his West Chester home after his wife Missy called 911 after a four day alcohol binge. On the drinking binge, Margera said "I may get a divorce . . . booze helps."
On Saturday, June 12, 2010, Margera was allegedly attacked with a baseball bat by a 59-year old resident outside of his bar, The Note, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Margera spent the night at Crozer-Chester Medical Center where he was being treated for injuries sustained to his head. According to the attacker, Elizabeth Ray, Margera used "the n-word, with black in front of it". Ray also denies attacking Margera, and claims she has no idea how he was injured.

Who is Matthew Thomas Skiba?

Who is Matthew Thomas Skiba?  The music world know himMatt Skiba, Skiba the lead singer and guitarist of Alkaline Trio. He has previously been a member of various bands including Jerkwater (McHenry/Chicago, IL; Dyslexic Records), Blunt, and The Traitors (Johanns Face Records). In 2002, Skiba recorded a split EP with Kevin Seconds. In 2006 Skiba launched a new side project with F-Minus bassist Josiah Steinbrick. The band, named Heavens, debuted the album Patent Pending on September 12, 2006.

 Alkaline Trio

Born in Chicago on February 24, 1976, he moved to the suburb of McHenry, Illinois at the age of three. Playing piano at an early age, his first concert was Public image Ltd., but in 1996, while working as a bike messenger, he decided to take up the guitar. Skiba dropped out of Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois to form Alkaline Trio with drummer Glenn Porter and bassist Rob Doran.
After the group recorded their first compilation and demo, they recorded the For Your Lungs Only EP, during which Rob Doran left the group. Dan Andriano picked up from there and recorded the EP with them. The groups lineup changed again in 2000 when Glenn Porter left until they recruited present member Derek Grant in 2002.
Matt also played drums for The Traitors before forming Alkaline Trio. Their self-titled album, which Skiba played drums on, was released on Johann's Face Records.

Side Projects and Solo

In 2001, he started his first large solo shows with The Plea For Peace Tour. These shows were mostly him performing Alkaline Trio songs on acoustic with backing drums and bass in a few shows.
His first solo release came in 2002 in the form of a split with Kevin Seconds. The songs were performed mostly on acoustic with backing drums, bass, and piano (all of which were played by Matt). The song Good Fucking Bye is sometimes performed live with the Alkaline Trio to this day.
In 2006, Skiba formed a side project called Heavens with Thieves Like Us and Flowers Of Doom guitarist Josiah Steinbeck. They released their debut album Patent Pending on Sept. 12, 2006.
During May 2007, Skiba performed five "special" shows with Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music).
On August 18, 2009, Skiba, fellow Alkaline Trio member Derek Grant and Greg Corner and Jonny Radtke of Kill Hannah debuted their new super-group cover band named Them Krocked Vulvas (occasionally played under the name "A Perfect Circus").
On August 10, 2010, he is releasing a debut solo album titled Demos on Asian Man Records.

 Personal life

Skiba and Derek Grant (the drummer in his present band Alkaline Trio) have declared themselves card carrying members of the Church of Satan. Matt has previously stated in an interview with Guitar World magazine that he uses his membership card of the Church to "watch people squirm". In an interview with Rock Sound in 2008 he stated that he in fact considers himself an agnostic. He is also a vegetarian and has stated in an interview with AOL Interface that he practices transcendental meditation. He said that it has greatly helped his creative process in writing due to it putting him in a clear and calm state of mind, though initially he didn't agree with this belief and thought that being the "tortured soul" was more beneficial. However, after reading the book Catching the Big Fish by David Lynch, he now believes a calm state of mind and being is more artistically helpful. and In 2003 during the recording of their album, Good Mourning, Skiba had a problem with acid reflux because of his early troubles with alcohol and illicit drug use, diet and not warming up before singing.
He now resides in California He has "Love Song" tattooed on his knuckles. He is a "big Cure fan" and a "huge Damned fan". He is also "an enormous David Lynch fan" and a "really big Nirvana fan". According to an interview with Kerrang, Skiba is no longer married.
In recent interviews, it has been said that Skiba is currently moving to Canada (Vancouver).

 Family

His mother, Joan Skiba, is a 4th/5th-grade teacher at Woods Creek Elementary School, and his father, Thomas Skiba, is an oral surgeon, both working in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

 Career

Skiba remains the only original member of the Trio (they endured several lineup changes that ultimately resulted in the addition of bassist Dan Andriano and drummer Derek Grant). The Trio released their debut Goddamnit on Asian Man Records in 1998, followed by Maybe I'll Catch Fire & Alkaline Trio. Alkaline Trio signed with Vagrant Records in late 2000 and released From Here to Infirmary in 2001, Good Mourning in 2003, Crimson in 2005, and Remains in 2007. In July 2008, the band released Agony & Irony, their first record on Epic Records. Later they released "This Addiction" on self label, Heart & Skull (partner label with Epitaph Records)
Skiba is also an active solo artist; in addition to the split with 7 Seconds' Kevin Seconds, he contributed to Fat Wreck Chords' 2005 compilation Protect: A Benefit for the National Association to Protect Children with the song "Demons Away".
In September 2006, his side project Heavens released the album, Patent Pending and started to tour. In late December 2008 Josiah Steinbrick announced on Heaven's Myspace page "This is no longer a Heavens page. Sorry, that's just the way it's going down. Matt will still be doing Trio stuff and last I heard he might be working on a wonderful solo record. I'm not really positive actually but I'm sure it will be great." There was a falling out between Matt Skiba and Josiah Steinbrick that led to the end of Heavens.
Also in 2006 Skiba contributed to the "Rock 'n' Roll High School" track that appears on the Brats on the Beat: Ramones for Kids tribute album released on Go-Kart Records.
He is referenced in the NOFX song, Creeping out Sara on their 2009 album Coaster.
Skiba is set to release a solo album in Summer 2010.
