Who is Mía Maestro? Maestro is an Argentine actress. She's best known for her role as Nadia Santos in the the television drama Alias. Mía Maestro was born June 19, 1978 in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1978.[1][2] Her mother was an economist and her father a businessman.[1] At the age of 18 she moved to Berlin to be trained as a classical music vocalist.[3] There she also learned the Brechtian acting technique as well as dance.[1] At age 20 Maestro returned to Buenos Aires.
Maestro made her screen debut in Carlos Saura's Academy Award 
nominated film, Tango.[3]
After a small role in Ben Stiller's 
“Duplex” (2003), Maestro played much larger role in Walter Salles Jr.'s
“The Motorcycle Diaries” (2004)
Just one year later, Maestro traveled to Austria, where she worked with Lauren Bacall
and Dennis Hopper
in “The Venice Project” (1999). Ultimately, she moved to Los Angeles and quickly landed a supporting role in Mike Figgis’ 
digital video experimental film ”Timecode” (2000), alongside Salma Hayek, with whom Maestro would work again with in 2002's “Frida” – Hayek’s labor of love biopic about the famed Mexican artist. Maestro also appeared in the HBO biopic of Cuban jazz musician Arturo Sandoval
in “For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story” (2000), starring opposite Andy Garcia.
Maestro originally met with TV producer J. J. Abrams
in relation to the show Lost.[1] She ended up getting the part of Nadia Santos in Season 4 on his other television show, the drama Alias.[1] She then had a recurring role in the program's 5th season. In December 2005, she starred in Prince's music video for "Te Amo Corazón" which was directed by her friend Salma Hayek.[4] 
In 2001, she was ranked #61 in Stuff's 100 Sexiest Women. Also in 2001, she ranked #67 in Maxim's 100 Sexiest Women. On Maxim's hot 100 2007 list, Maestro came in at #99.[5]
Maestro is joining the cast of Burn Notice and has also recently been seen on the set of NBC's new show Crusoe.[6]
She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
Maestro boyfriend is Ned Benson,
who is an actor/director. She won an ACE Award for performance in the stage production of Pandora's Box.[2]
